Am trawling through the IBM website for case studies. Lotus seems to have been going a long time, it's got that old-IBM feel. Not sure how much it has been affected by social software.

Interesting how James Kelway's User-centered taxonomies cites the way users tag websites on del.icio.us He also suggests examining competitor websites and actively avoid their mistakes - obvious, but amazing how that never occurs to constructors.

Series on Web 2.0 applications

Good series on Web 2.0 applications is available from EDUCAUSE. The series is "7 things you should know about" and the 7 points are compressed to two A4 sides. Each deals with the knowledge training potentila of the application.

Delicious

Glad to discover a new way of displaying links to frequently used websites. But the font size is big - why? Scrolling is such a fiddle and waste of time. Also the page cannot be configured as easily as Netvibes pages. Would be useful to be able to display an image of the website as a hyperlink.

Have to start for real on getting Corporate Services staff to think about what documentation they use, and what they should do with documents once they are no longer used.

Valentines day

Hello valentine, I hope you can find all the cards hidden away in various parts of the house. The single red rose spent most of the evening outside the front door, but I rescued it and out it in water last thing last night. You will also find a bar of heart-shaped soap by your electric toothbrush this morning.

Well this is far better than bloglines. That just sent me round and round in circles, asking me to create a clip. Whenever I did so, it asked me to do it again. Haven't got time to be mucked about. Hope this is better .....
